Nicole and Tasha have 2000 stickers altogether. If Nicole has 600 more stickers than Tasha, how many stickers does Nicole have?
1300!

To show my work:
N + T = 2000 // together they both have 2000 stickers
T = N - 600 // Tasha has 600 less stickers than Nicole
N + (N - 600) = 2000 // substituting in
N + N - 600 = 2000
2N - 600 = 2000
2N = 2600 // I added 600 to both sides
N = 1300

Great shown work, @tim.
When presented to teach that I realized I hadn’t used these principles for years, and need to freshen up.
Clover was very impressed, and I let them know @tim studied a lot of math in school, including college, to which they replied…
You can always count on Tim, when they are around the numbers really add up!
